Thies, Senegal, Feb.04 - Rassul Djitte stands over the ground where Madieye Diallo was buried in Le Darou Salam cemetery. Djitte was next door when members of the local community dug up Diallo's body from the Muslim cemetery, because Diallo was an openly gay man. They dragged the body more than 500 meters to Diallo's family home. The body left tracks in the sand 'like a car that had driven through the snow,' Djitte said.
